Original paintings by Marty McCorkle purchased by collectors now number over two thousand.
Records of total sales through art dealers Esteban Sabar, Gallery Z, and Ricco Renzo Gallery as well as private sales, portraits and commissions accumulate to 2,141 original paintings as wall as 114 “painting sketches” (notable oil sketches done by McCorkle created black paper) over the past 11 years.
Sales records breakdown:
- 1999 through 2006: 974 paintings
- 2007 to Present: 1,167 paintings
“Not long ago people puzzled at my work or dismissed it as ‘digital cubism’,” says artist Marty McCorkle. “This painting revolution was out of step with our time. I hope that it still is.”
“I paint for younger generations with whom I can see eye to eye, but I’m glad to see my contemporaries purchase my paintings.”
McCorkle extends thanks Esteban Sabar, Berge Zobian of Gallery Z and Ricco Renzo Gallery for “taking a chance on this new vision of what painting can be.”
